About Coconut Grove Metal Roof

A roofing crew that knows the Grove because the Grove is where we work.

Mediterranean Revival, mid-century modern, bayfront contemporary, historic-district overlay — each one needs a different roof vocabulary, and most of South Florida's contractors don’t speak it.

One neighborhood, one specialty.

Coconut Grove Metal Roof is a roofing company built around a single insight: the Grove is not South Florida generic. It’s older, taller-canopied, more architecturally specific, and more historically protected than the neighborhoods around it. A roofer who treats the Grove like just another Miami zip code will eventually run into a problem they can’t solve.

So we built our business the other way around. Our weeks are anchored here. Our material defaults are calibrated for Biscayne Bay salt and oak debris. Our paperwork includes preservation-board submission templates because we use them often enough that templates are worth the time.

What we install.

Standing seam, snap-lock, and architectural metal panel systems in aluminum or Galvalume. Spanish barrel tile, mission tile, slate-look concrete, and clay tile reinstalls. TPO, modified bitumen, and built-up flat-roof systems for mid-century homes with low-slope or hidden parapet roofs. We do not install asphalt shingles — in the Grove, the architectural review and the salt environment usually rule them out anyway.

What we don’t do.

We don’t take side jobs in shingle. We don’t subcontract to crews we haven’t vetted. We don’t quote verbal numbers. We don’t take percentages of insurance claims. We don’t pad scope to drive ticket size. We don’t pressure homeowners into replacing roofs that can be repaired.

How we work.

Phone consult first — five to ten minutes to learn your roof, property, timeline, and any HOA or historic-district context. Then an on-site measure with drone imaging and walk-the-roof inspection. Photographic documentation of current condition. A two-day turnaround on a written, line-item estimate that lists materials by manufacturer and grade, underlayment system, fastener spec, removal scope, permit handling, project timeline, and warranty terms.

If the project moves forward, we pull permits and handle architectural review submission when it applies. We protect landscaping, AC condensers, and pool equipment before tear-off begins. Every working day ends with a dry-in. The project closes with a final inspection, a punch-list walk, and a photo close-out package alongside warranty paperwork.

Coverage area.

Coconut Grove is the center of our work. We also regularly serve Coral Gables (across LeJeune), Brickell, Key Biscayne (across the Rickenbacker), Coral Way, the Roads, downtown Miami, and the Vizcaya / Bay Heights bayfront pocket. If your address is outside that, ask us — we sometimes take the right project further out.

How to reach us.

Phone is fastest. Email works when you’ve got photos to send. The booking form on this site is the most thorough way to get a written estimate started.
