What we handle.
Post-storm photographic damage assessment. Insurance scope written to your insurer’s preferred format. Direct adjuster coordination on covered claims. Tarping and dry-in for active leaks while the claim works through approval. Full repair or replacement work once the claim is approved.
Our post-storm process.
- Triage call. If you have an active leak after a storm, call us first. We’ll get a tarp on the roof same-day or next-day depending on conditions.
- Photographic assessment. Drone imaging plus walk-the-roof for accessible areas. We document every damage point with timestamped photos.
- Insurance scope. We write a damage scope formatted for your insurer (Xactimate or proprietary format). You file the claim — we don’t file on your behalf.
- Adjuster meet. If the adjuster wants on-site verification, we meet them and walk the damage. We don’t take a percentage of the claim — this is part of our service at no cost to you.
- Claim approval. Insurer issues their approval scope. If our scope and theirs differ materially, we coordinate the supplement.
- Repair or replacement work. Same workflow as a cash project — permits, materials, install, close-out. Pricing is the same whether the work is insurance or cash.
What we don’t do on storm damage.
- We don’t take a percentage of your insurance claim.
- We don’t pad scope to drive claim size.
- We don’t sign assignments of benefits (AOBs) — the claim stays in your name.
- We don’t promise that “insurance will cover everything.” That’s between you and your carrier.
Common Grove storm damage.
Falling oak and banyan limbs are the leading cause of post-hurricane roof damage in Coconut Grove — usually more than wind itself. Tile breakage along the impact path is the most common single repair. Flashing and skylight damage from wind-driven debris is second. Membrane punctures on flat roofs from blown debris is third.
